When Europeans put the “3Rs” — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle — into practice, recycling comes first.
Over half say they recycle at home and work, and nearly as many reuse materials and products. Many also focus on reducing waste and related costs (42%), while about one in three choose to buy products made from recycled materials or aim to save natural resources.
Composting is relatively common compared with other regions. Actions like preventing environmental degradation or reducing landfill use are less widespread.
